Delhi High Court

The Delhi High Court, established on October 31, 1966, is one of the most prominent High Courts in India. Located in the national capital, New Delhi, it exercises jurisdiction over the National Capital Territory (NCT) and plays a critical role in the Indian judicial system.

Comprising the Chief Justice and other judges appointed by the President of India, the Court has original, appellate, and writ jurisdiction in both civil and criminal matters. It also hears appeals from lower courts and tribunals within Delhi and is empowered to enforce the fundamental rights enshrined in the Constitution under Article 226.
